Tighter cast on edge for knitting in the round?
by: Anonymous

But you can't use the long tail cast on for knitting in the round, correct?
So what cast on method can you use for knitting in the round to prevent the cast on row from rolling up?

Thank you,
Melissa

How do I stop my cast on edge rolling?
by: Kathy

Yarn is twisted when it is made and sometime will turn as you work with it. Most times it will turn on the needle as you cast on. I use the long tail method as it knits the first row as your castign on and twist less. I just straiten all the stitches as I go and when I have all the stitches on the needle. You can find the long tail and several other cast on methods here

Try them and see which works best for you.
