Instructions say yfwd.K2.Pass yfwdover K2.WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

I'm knitting a cowl, and the instructions are supposed to be easy; however, I am having some difficulty with just the 2nd row. I've only been knitting for a coulpe of years. Can you explain?
