How to Knit a Scarf

So how do you knit a scarf? Many people ask this question, especially when they are beginners.

The first project undertaken by any novice knitter is the garter stitch scarf. This is because knitting a scarf is a great way to familiarize yourself with the basic knit stitch and to work on obtaining an even tension. Also, you will soon have something to show for all your hard work!

With this pattern, I have chosen very thick yarn and needles so that it does not take long to knit. This would make a great present for someone but you might be tempted to keep it for yourself.

This knitting pattern (along with the others on this site) is suitable for kids.
